Music Review #105: "Turn Up the Radio"

Today, I will be reviewing "Turn Up the Radio" by Autograph. This song was released in 1984 as part of Autograph's "Sign In Please" album. I really enjoy the use of synthesizer in this song. I also really like the guitar. I am not as a crazy about the vocals, as I feel that the lead singer's voice is a bit weak. I do, however, really enjoy the repeat. It sells the song in my opinion. This song is pretty solid. I give this song a nine out of ten.

Music Review #104: "The Parting Glass"

In honor of Memorial Day, I will be reviewing "The Parting Glass" by The High Kings. This song was released in 2008 as part of The High Kings' "The High Kings" album. I really enjoy Celtic music. The singing in this song is exquisite. I also really like the instrumentation in this song. My favorite part of the song is when these lyrics are repeated: "So fill to me the parting glass and drink a health what'er befalls. Then gently rise and softly call 'Good night and joy be too you all.'" This is really a great song. I give this song a ten out of ten. As a side note, I would like to honor those brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while defending our country and our freedom.

Music Review #103: "That's All"

Today, I will be reviewing "That's All" by Genesis. This song was released in 1983 as part of Genesis's "Genesis" album. I really like the piano in this song. I also like how this song is very catchy. I also really like the repeat. Phil Collins is really a great singer. I really enjoy this song. I give this song a ten out of ten.

Music Review #102: "Elderberry Wine"

Today, I will be reviewing "Elderberry Wine" by Elton John. This song was released in 1973 as part of Elton John's "Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player" album. I really enjoy the piano throughout the song. I also really like the bass guitar in this song. This song is very catchy and is very uplifting. As soon as I hear this song, I get a smile on my face. I really think that the piano sells this song. I give this song a ten out of ten.

Music Review #101: "A Real Hero"

Today, I will be reviewing "A Real Hero" by Electric Youth. This song was released in 2011 as part of Electric Youth's "Drive" album. I am a big fan of electric music. I find this song very catchy as well. I really like the vocals in this song. I heard this song for the first time just a few days ago and I really enjoyed it. I give this song a ten out of ten.

Music Review #100: "Heaven Nor Hell"

Today, I will be reviewing "Heaven Nor Hell" by Volbeat. This song was released in 2010 as part of Volbeat's "Beyond Hell/Above Heaven" album. I really like the heavy guitar playing throughout the song. I also like the addition of the harmonica in this song. I also like how the vocals sound uplifting. I really like the repeat as well. This is a very solid song. I give this song a ten out of ten.

Music Review #99: "Let's Go"

Today, I will be reviewing "Let's Go" by Calvin Harris and Ne-Yo. This song was released in 2006 as part of Harris's "In My Own Words" album. I'm a big fan of electronic music. Also this song is a stadium anthem. I have heard this song at several sporting events that I have attended in the past. I'm a big fan of the repeat. I also like the rhythm. This is a song that definitely gets me pumped up. I give this song a ten out of ten.

Music Review #98: "Chariots of Fire"

Today, I will be reviewing "Chariots of Fire" by Vangelis. This song was released in 1981. It is the theme song of the movie "Chariots of Fire." I like how the song sounds very majestic. I like the piano and the rhythm as well. My favorite part of the song is from the 1:09 mark until 1:37. This is an absolutely beautiful song. I give this song a ten out of ten.

Today, I will be reviewing "Du Hast" by Rammstein. This song was released in 1997 as part of Rammstein's "Sehnsucht" album. Right off the bat, I like the heavy guitar playing. I also like the drums and the synthesizer. I also really like the repeat in this song. I give this song a ten out of ten.

Today, I will be reviewing "December, 1963" by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. This song was released in 1975 as part of the Four Seasons' "Who Loves You" album. Right off the bat, I really like the piano. I also like the rhythm of this song and I like how it is very uplifting. This song is also quite catchy. This is a song that I have liked for a long time. I give this song a ten out of ten.

Today, I will be reviewing "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor. This song was released in 1978 as part of Gaynor's "Love Tracks" album. Right off the bat, this song is very catchy. This is one of those songs that I could see many people dancing to. I really like the rhythm of this song. This is a pretty solid song. I give this song a ten out of ten.

Today, I will be reviewing "Freeze Frame" by J. Geils Band. This song was released in 1981 as part of J. Geils Band's "Freeze Frame" album. I like the keyboards and I like how this song is very upbeat. I also like the rhythm in this song. I think the music video is definitely very cheesy. This is a song that I have enjoyed for a long time. I give this song a ten out of ten.

Music Review #93: "American Beauty"

Today, I will be reviewing "American Beauty" by Thomas Newman. This song was released in 1999. It it the theme song for the movie "American Beauty." I love the piano throughout this entire song. Apparently, this song was played while a bag was flying around in the air. This song makes me think of the peace and calm of nature. While listening to this song, it makes me want to be outside enjoying nature. It is quite a beautiful piece of music. I give this song a ten out of ten.

Today, I will be reviewing "The Boys of Summer" by Don Henley. This song was released in 1984 as part of Henley's "Building the Perfect Beast" album. Right when this song starts, it makes me think of "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins. I find this song very catchy. I am a big fan of the repeat in this song. I like the instrumentation as well.
